Coloring Soap
Colors play an important role in our life. When we dress up, we take care of what suits us and wear colors accordingly. We also try to create a balance of colors of things around us. In some cases, we can use any color we want. Take an example of soap colors. You can make soaps on your own and give any color to them of your own choice.

You can easily make soaps on your own using special natural ingredients like pine needles, loofah, dried flower petals and crushed oatmeal. You can add your favorite colors in homemade soaps. You need pure glycerin; small piece of solid vegetable color, 5-10 drops of essential oils and 2-3 drops of vegetable food coloring. You can follow a simple method of melting a glycerin bar in a glass-measuring cup in a pot of water. Add the desired color and stir the scented oil. Add the dried ingredients in the soap molds. Now add the melted mixture in the molds. You can make your desired design pouring it in special ways. Now let the mixture dry and shine it with a used panty hose.
Sassafras is a plant used by Native Americans for medicines and as spices in cooking. In the past, Choctaw Indians used the dried leaves of Sassafras for seasoning and thickening. In the recent years, Sassafras has been used as color for soap.
The soap colorants are of many types. They can be pigments, glitters, oxides and clay. These colorants are available in the form of packs. You can make combination like midnight blue by adding black in blue, forest green by adding black in green and dark brown by adding black in red. The ratio of adding should be one drop of black to two drops of the other color.
